2020 Tax Credits

We appreciate your financial support to the St. Joseph Pregnancy Resource Clinic, our mission, and our continued outreach to women in the community facing crisis pregnancy situations.

The demand for tax credits increases every year since more donors are requesting credits for their donations.  Last year, after information was provided to donors, all tax credits were requested within two weeks.

Contact Emily Campbell if you are interested in tax credits. We will provide you with an internal form to record your interest in tax credits. If you wish to request a tax credit for your 2020 donation(s), please return the form to the St. Joseph PRC as soon as possible. PRC will use 100% of the tax credits given to us.

Tax Credit vs. Tax Deduction

A tax credit is an amount of money that taxpayers can subtract from taxes owed to their government. Unlike deductions and exemptions, which reduce the amount of taxable income, tax credits reduce the actual amount of tax owed. (A donation of at least $100 must be made in order to qualify for the tax credit.)

A tax deduction is a deduction that lowers a person’s tax liability by lowering his taxable income. Deductions are typically expenses that the taxpayer incurs during the year that can be applied against or subtracted from his gross income in order to figure out how much tax is owed.

St. Joseph PRC will mail your tax credit applications in to the state Pregnancy Resource Division as soon your last donation of the 2019 year has been made. Tax credits may take up to eight weeks to process once received by the state.

If you should have any questions regarding tax credits or if you qualify, please do not hesitate to contact Emily Campbell, Office Manager, at  email emily.campbell@stjosephprc.org or call the office at (816) 387-8090.
